I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the usual stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
